ZF-21 is an ultra-fine, high-purity synthetic magnesium hydroxide manufactured through a controlled chemical precipitation process, delivering batch-to-batch consistency that mineral-sourced alternatives cannot match.

With a magnesium hydroxide content of ≥99% and a median particle size (d50) of 1.0 μm, ZF-21 achieves exceptional fineness that promotes uniform dispersion throughout the polymer matrix. Hunter whiteness of ≥97 ensures no visible colour impact on the finished compound. Very low ionic impurities — Fe³⁺ ≤ 0.005% and Cl⁻ ≤ 0.05% — make ZF-21 suitable for electrically sensitive applications where long-term dielectric performance must be protected.

The regular crystal morphology and narrow particle size distribution maintain excellent melt flow and mechanical strength even at high filler loadings. Effective flame retardancy is achieved through endothermic decomposition and water vapour release, simultaneously reducing smoke density.

Compatible with thermoplastic and crosslinked polyolefins, PVC, elastomers, and engineering plastics. Multiple surface treatment grades (A, B, F, J, N, S, X) are available to optimise hydrophobicity, elongation at break, processing flowability, and oxygen index for specific end-use requirements including LSZH cable compounds and halogen-free elastomer systems.
