ZF-22 is a high-purity synthetic magnesium hydroxide produced by controlled chemical precipitation, offering reliable halogen-free flame retardancy with consistent quality across production batches.

With a magnesium hydroxide content of ≥99% and a median particle size (d50) of 1.5 μm, ZF-22 provides a balance between fine particle dispersion and cost-effective processing. Hunter whiteness of ≥97 and very low impurity levels (Fe³⁺ ≤ 0.005%, Cl⁻ ≤ 0.05%) support applications where both colour and electrical properties of the finished compound are important.

The uniform particle morphology ensures good dispersion in twin-screw compounding operations, delivering consistent mechanical strength and colour stability. The endothermic decomposition mechanism suppresses smoke while releasing water vapour that quenches combustion at the flame front.

Compatible with thermoplastic and crosslinked polyolefins, PVC, elastomers, and engineering plastics. Surface treatment grades A, B, F, J, N, S, and X are available for targeted improvement of hydrophobicity, elongation at break, processing flowability, and oxygen index to suit specific polymer systems and regulatory requirements.
