ZF-P-MH80 is a magnesium hydroxide flame-retardant masterbatch that delivers the halogen-free fire performance of inorganic Mg(OH)₂ in a clean, dust-free granule format, enabling direct and precise integration into polyolefin compounding and extrusion lines without process modifications.
With a magnesium hydroxide active content of ≥75%, ash content of ≥55%, density of 1.60–1.80 g/cm³, and moisture of ≤0.4%, ZF-P-MH80 provides a high concentration of flame-retardant active in a pre-dispersed carrier system. The carrier resin is selected for thermodynamic compatibility with the customer production polyolefin, ensuring full compatibility and minimising any dilution effect on the mechanical properties and surface quality of the final compound.
The masterbatch format eliminates the agglomeration and dust handling issues associated with direct Mg(OH)₂ powder addition, resulting in significantly more uniform particle distribution throughout the compound cross-section. This translates to more consistent results in IEC 60332, UL 94, and LOI fire tests, and improved surface quality on extruded or moulded articles.
Particularly suitable for LSZH wire and cable compounds, agricultural films, and polyolefin applications where regulatory compliance, processability, and product quality must all be achieved simultaneously.
