ZF-83 is a high-purity, high-whiteness natural brucite magnesium hydroxide that combines reliable flame-retardant performance with the cost efficiency characteristic of mineral-sourced products.

With a magnesium hydroxide content of ≥90%, a median particle size (d50) of 3.5 μm, and Hunter whiteness of ≥95, ZF-83 delivers a strong performance-to-cost ratio for compounders seeking effective halogen-free flame retardancy without the premium associated with synthetic grades. The narrow particle size distribution ensures consistent dispersion in the polymer matrix, supporting reproducible fire test results across production batches.

ZF-83 provides good mechanical strength in filled compounds and effectively suppresses smoke through its endothermic decomposition mechanism. The elevated whiteness level is an advantage in applications where aesthetics and compound appearance are factors alongside fire performance.

Compatible with thermoplastic and crosslinked polyolefins, PVC, elastomers, and engineering plastics. Surface treatment grades targeting hydrophobicity, elongation at break, and processing flowability are available to match specific formulation requirements.
