ZF-61 is a high-purity synthetic magnesium hydroxide distinguished by its exceptionally low iron content — Fe³⁺ ≤ 0.001% — making it the preferred choice in polymer systems where iron-catalysed oxidative degradation is a concern.

With a magnesium hydroxide content of ≥98.5%, a median particle size (d50) of 1.5 μm, and Hunter whiteness of ≥97, ZF-61 supports formulations where both fire performance and long-term colour stability are critical requirements. The ultra-low iron level prevents the yellowing and mechanical property loss that higher-iron grades can introduce during high-temperature processing and heat ageing.

ZF-61 provides excellent mechanical strength in filled polymer compounds. For demanding halogen-free applications, it is recommended to co-formulate ZF-61 with aluminium hydroxide to achieve improved flame-retardant synergy and a broader processing window.

Compatible with thermoplastic and crosslinked polyolefins, PVC, elastomers, and engineering plastics. Surface treatment options are available to further optimise compatibility and dispersion in specific polymer matrices.
