ZF-YM-10 is a halogen-free, phosphorus-nitrogen (P-N) flame retardant formulated specifically for ink and coating applications, combining high flame-retardant efficiency with outstanding water-boiling resistance — a performance requirement that standard inorganic flame retardants frequently cannot meet.

Key specifications include an R457 whiteness of ≥97.5, median particle size (d50) of 4–6 μm, thermal decomposition temperature (TGA, 1 wt% loss) of ≥300 °C, and pH of 3–4. The high decomposition temperature ensures processing stability across the temperature range used in ink and coating manufacturing, with no premature decomposition or gas generation. RoHS and REACH compliance is confirmed.

ZF-YM-10 forms a dense, crack-free char layer upon combustion — a critical performance attribute for applications where the flame-retardant coating must maintain physical integrity after fire exposure. Water-boiling resistance is a standout property, enabling use in applications where the printed or coated surface is exposed to moisture or cleaning operations in service.

Good dispersibility and compatibility with ink vehicles and binders allow direct incorporation into existing gravure, flexographic, and screen printing ink formulations without additional dispersing equipment or formulation redesign.
