ZF-YM-20 is a halogen-free, phosphorus-nitrogen (P-N) flame retardant for ink and coating applications, distinguished by its higher whiteness specification — R457 whiteness of ≥98 — compared to standard ink-grade flame retardants, making it the preferred choice for light-coloured and white ink formulations where colour purity is critical.

With a median particle size (d50) of 4–6 μm and thermal decomposition temperature (TGA, 1 wt% loss) of ≥300 °C, ZF-YM-20 maintains process stability throughout ink manufacturing and provides a clean white appearance that minimises colour interference in the finished printed film or coating. pH of 3–4 is consistent with the requirements of most acrylic and polyurethane ink binder systems. Full RoHS and REACH compliance is confirmed.

ZF-YM-20 delivers high flame-retardant efficiency through the phosphorus-nitrogen mechanism, forming a dense, intact char layer upon combustion with excellent water-boiling resistance. Good dispersibility and compatibility ensure smooth integration into existing gravure, flexographic, and screen printing production without processing modifications.

Applicable in packaging inks, label inks, industrial print coatings, and specialty ink systems requiring both fire performance and high aesthetic quality.
